Reimagining Social

Airtime already had an existing social platform in the market that had users and traction. Their leadership team was looking towards the future and saw a vision for a decentralized online environment. Community creators will own their social experience, no longer needing to rely on the big tech companies and community members will have direct access to the creators.

Airtime provided their vision to our team and it was our job to bring that vision to life.

The Problem

Airtime's current product wasn't meeting their vision for the future.

As businesses consistently strive to exceed user expectations and stay ahead of their competition, Airtime was in need of upgrading their product to be better prepared for the future.

Airtime's Vision

Upon first meeting, Airtime presented their vision to us. We then took that presentation back to dissect it and ensure that we were all on the same page.

“The future of online social will be decentralized.”

- Airtime Team

Meeting the Vision

After internalizing the vision, our team (CEO, Project Manager, Brand Strategist and myself) crafted a deck to ensure that not only did we understand their vision but had a path forward.

Alignment

The first step was to ensure that our understanding was correct. Directly stating "You said this, and we heard this" was our way of making sure we were all on the same page as we move towards creating a product.

Audience

Once we were aligned on the vision, we began assessing who he intended customers of the product would be.

Value

The value proposition needed to be clear for all parties.

The Product

Once the audience and value proposition were defined, demonstrating the path of becoming an actual product was key to solidify the plan.

Site Architecture

After a successful meeting, it was time to flush out the rest of the product through wireframes and visual design. With our agency being busy and myself on numerous projects, once I was finished creating the wireframes my role was direction for the visuals as we brought in two more designers. Through a few weeks of iteration, we arrived at a solution that Airtime was excited about.
