Guiding Patients
excite potential investors
Project Overview
Episode Connect was a patient tracking application that helps coordination efforts between administrators, nurses, physicians, case managers, patients and families. Utilizing contextual inquiries and implementing best practices from what we gathered in the field allowed users to efficiently use their own workflows rather than having to change their process to match an application.
In addition to Episode Connect we also had tools for; Reporting, Program Management, and User Administration which all played a key part in achieving business goals. Aligning these tools so that users with differing roles could feel comfortable completing their daily tasks was fundamental in creating a complete experience.

Bundled Payments

Coordination between multiple providers and the patient was a key aspect in creating a successful experience. By understanding the needs of each provider and their respective users, informed design decisions could produce the best results.
Business Objectives
Remedy Partners entered into risks contracts with governments, health plans and employers to deliver fixed price episodes of care. By working with project managers, business analysts and members out in the field, producing a product that could span all these complex relationships became much more achievable.

Designing for the User
Through contextual inquiries we learned nurses' workflows were consistently interrupted by having to leave patients in order for them to head back to their workstations to input notes.
